Privacy Policy for Daily Ledger Pro

Jetharam Bagriya ("Developer", "We", "Us", or "Our") operates the Daily Ledger Pro mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, storage, and security of your information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
To provide you with a secure financial ledger experience, we collect specific information based on how you use the App:
- Authentication & Identity (Mandatory): To create an account, you MUST provide your Full Name and a valid Email Address (via standard email registration or Google Sign-In). This information is securely linked to your account.
- Financial Data: We collect the ledger entries you create, including transaction amounts, categories, dates, and textual notes.
- Optional Profile Data: You may voluntarily add your Mobile Number, Date of Birth, and Gender in the App settings. This optional data is stored strictly locally on your device and is never uploaded to our cloud servers.
2. How We Store and Protect Your Data
We employ a strict dual-layer architecture to ensure your data is secure:
1. Local Storage (Military-Grade Encryption): All your financial transactions and optional profile data are stored locally in an encrypted database using AES-256-GCM encryption. To further protect your privacy, we have intentionally disabled Android's automatic OS cloud backup.
2. Cloud Backup & Auto-Sync: To prevent data loss, the App automatically syncs your mandatory profile data (Name and Email) and your financial transactions to our secure cloud servers (Google Firebase Firestore). This sync happens automatically when your device is connected to the internet.
3. Device Permissions
The App requests the following minimal permissions strictly for core functionality. We do NOT request permissions for your Camera, Contacts, Location, or External Storage.
- Internet: Required to authenticate your account and seamlessly auto-sync your backup data to the cloud.
- Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): Required ONLY if you use the Speech-to-Text feature for voice typing. Note: This feature invokes your device's native OS speech recognition engine (such as Google Speech Services), which may process audio data according to your device manufacturer's or OS provider's privacy policy. The App itself does not record or store your audio.
4. Third-Party Services & SDKs
We do NOT sell, rent, or share your data. The App does NOT contain ads, analytics trackers, or crash reporting SDKs (No Google AdMob, No Google Analytics, No Firebase Crashlytics). We rely solely on the following infrastructure:
- Firebase Authentication & Google Sign-In: For secure user identity verification.
- Firebase Cloud Firestore: For securely storing your encrypted cloud backups.
- Firebase App Check: Runs automatically to verify device authenticity and protect our backend from abuse.
- Google Fonts: The App makes a secure, one-time network request to fetch fonts exclusively for generating PDF reports.
5. Your Rights: Complete Data Deletion
You have full ownership of your data. We provide a complete and permanent data deletion mechanism directly within the App Settings ("Delete Account").
When you trigger account deletion, the App securely performs a 100% data wipe, which includes:
- Wiping all locally encrypted Hive databases, SharedPreferences, and Secure Storage (including security PINs).
- Permanently erasing your Profile Document (Name and Email) from our Firestore cloud.
- Permanently erasing all your synced financial transactions from our Firestore cloud.
- Permanently terminating your user Authentication account.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date".
